About the Role

Lead the design and development of custom, low-latency modem architectures for point-to-point wireless networks. Design and simulate physical-layer algorithms, build modem and system models, investigate performance for sign-off and RTL development, and collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying digital modem systems
• Deep knowledge of digital modem design
• Experience with Python, C/C++ and/or Matlab for algorithm development and link-level simulation
• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Experience with wireless modem FPGA, ASIC, or custom data-path logic design preferred
• Familiarity with RF and microwave components preferred
• Reliable and predictable availability

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate physical-layer wireless communication algorithms
• Realize wireless communication algorithms for low-latency applications
• Implement modem and system models
• Perform detailed performance investigations
• Enable RTL development
• Collaborate with digital designers and firmware developers on efficient implementations
