About the Role
You will develop, refine, and integrate aircraft models for use in simulation environments. You will support flight-test planning and data analysis, write simulation software, collaborate with simulation users, and help expand virtual-test capabilities.
Requirements
- BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant aircraft dynamics and aircraft simulation experience
- Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink
- Basic knowledge of C, C++, and Python
- Understanding of conventional aircraft simulation modeling techniques
- Flight-test experience
- Aircraft-certification experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and update aircraft models for aerodynamics, control systems, servos, brakes, and landing gear
- Support flight-test planning, instrumentation requirements, and test-data analysis
- Write software to improve existing simulations
- Collaborate with virtual-test-environment users to meet their objectives
- Expand the virtual test environment with capabilities needed by customers
