About the Role
You will design compute architectures for AI inference accelerators, balancing throughput, latency, power efficiency, and area. You will create architectural specifications, conduct experiments with cycle-accurate simulators and analytical models, and provide guidance during integration. You will collaborate with RTL, verification, physical-design, and software stakeholders to ensure feasible and optimized designs.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in computer architecture, ASIC design, or related fields
- Knowledge of pipelines, memory hierarchies, and interconnects
- Experience with performance modeling and architectural simulation
- Experience designing and optimizing floating-point datapaths or arithmetic-intensive circuits
- Proficiency in Rust, C, C++, or Python
- Knowledge of processor microarchitecture and design tradeoffs
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze chip architectures for AI and ML workloads
- Contribute to power and area estimation for architectural exploration
- Create architectural specifications and interface definitions for compute blocks and subsystems
- Collaborate with RTL, verification, physical design, and software stakeholders
- Conduct architectural experiments using cycle-accurate simulators and analytical models
- Provide architectural guidance and resolve design challenges during integration
