About the Role
You will lead field deployment engineering for robotic welding cells. You will recruit and develop technical talent, establish playbooks and commissioning procedures, track field metrics, improve installation quality and cycle times, manage Jira triage, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate product and operations improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in deployment engineering, field engineering, systems integration, industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical environment
- Experience leading, managing, or developing technical engineers
- Working knowledge of complex electromechanical systems
- Experience with industrial robotics, automation, controls, or manufacturing equipment
- Experience developing technical processes, SOPs, commissioning procedures, and operational metrics
- Experience troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and operational issues
- Project and operational management skills
- Experience using Jira or similar issue-tracking systems
- Ability to use operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and measure results
- Ability to travel to customer sites as required
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and onboard field technical talent
- Build deployment playbooks, SOPs, and commissioning checklists
- Implement field metrics for installation, calibration, and capacity
- Own pre-shipment validation and rollout quality metrics
- Standardize cell configuration and calibration
- Reduce hardware-in-the-loop validation cycle times
- Establish and maintain Jira workflows for field issues
- Triage and route critical deployment tickets
- Analyze field-ticket patterns and prioritize product improvements
- Ensure root-cause analyses are documented for major deployment blockers
- Bridge operations and product engineering to improve deployability and serviceability
