About the Role

You will lead and contribute production code for market-data pipelines, KDB+/Q platforms, data distribution, and supporting tools. You will review designs, debug production issues, set reliability standards, and work with trading and research users on platform needs.

Requirements

  • Have at least 7 years of experience in data engineering, market-data infrastructure, or a related area
  • Have at least 3 years of technical engineering leadership experience
  • Demonstrate current hands-on production coding experience
  • Have strong KDB+/Q, tick architecture, query tuning, and production HDB troubleshooting experience
  • Demonstrate strong production Python experience
  • Have experience building low-latency decoders for real exchange protocols
  • Understand multicast, packet capture, sequencing, and gap detection
  • Work comfortably in Linux with perf, strace, tcpdump, and numactl
  • Own production issues directly

Responsibilities

  • Own market-data pipelines from ingestion through normalization and near-real-time delivery
  • Integrate exchange-feed capture and third-party vendor data
  • Build replay, recovery, and gap-detection capabilities
  • Design, maintain, and tune KDB+/Q platforms
  • Define dependable data contracts and schemas
  • Build validation, monitoring, replay, and analytics tools
  • Write production code and review pull requests and technical designs
  • Debug production issues and improve alerting and data-quality checks
  • Lead engineers while remaining technically involved
