About the Role
You will lead the Guardian engineering team in London and own the strategy and execution of production systems that evaluate agent behavior, identify risk, and take appropriate action. You will shape architecture, develop engineers, collaborate with research and product partners, and establish rigorous safety evaluation and operational practices.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading engineering teams that delivered complex, high-stakes production systems
- Experience building with AI agents or large language models
- Product-engineering judgment across safety, usability, speed, and reliability
- Ability to partner with research teams and translate findings into engineering plans
- Management experience in hiring, coaching, performance, and execution
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and develop London-based engineers
- Set the technical roadmap for Auto-review and the Guardian platform
- Build real-time systems that evaluate agent actions and detect harmful behavior
- Improve oversight systems for user intent, context, permissions, and personalization signals
- Partner with alignment researchers to scale prototypes and monitoring techniques
- Integrate Guardian capabilities into agent experiences
- Establish adversarial testing, failure analysis, monitoring, and safety metrics
