About the Role
You will lead daily field execution for data center fit-outs and infrastructure upgrades. You will coordinate contractors and vendors, verify installations against drawings and standards, enforce safety requirements, manage owner-furnished equipment, track progress, document field activity, resolve site issues, and support commissioning and turnover.
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction field experience, including 2+ years in a foreman, lead, or superintendent capacity
- Experience supervising construction, fit-out, or infrastructure installations in data centers or comparable mission-critical facilities
- Experience directing multiple trades and vendors on active sites
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, power distribution, cooling, containment, and cabling systems
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation instructions and produce redlines
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire
- Familiarity with commissioning, pre-functional checklists, and punch-list closeout
- Experience with field reporting and project platforms including Procore, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Monday.com
- Ability to lift, climb, work at height, and remain on foot in active construction environments
- Willingness to travel approximately 75% and work off-hours or weekends when required
Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-site activity across contractors, installers, integration crews, and OEM field service teams
- Run daily huddles and coordinate work sequencing across electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, and network scopes
- Oversee white-space fit-out installations and verify work against approved drawings and standards
- Enforce safety requirements, permits, LOTO procedures, and PPE compliance
- Conduct safety walks, stop unsafe work, and lead incident and near-miss reporting
- Perform quality inspections, manage punch lists, and confirm corrective work
- Coordinate trade access, outage windows, vendor access, and site-rule compliance
- Receive, inspect, stage, secure, and track owner-furnished equipment
- Own the three-week field lookahead and report progress, constraints, and material gaps
- Produce daily reports, redlines, RFI logs, field observations, and as-built notes
- Resolve constructability conflicts, generate RFIs, and escalate cost, schedule, and safety impacts
- Support pre-functional checks, commissioning, integrated testing, and turnover
