About the Role
You will serve as the on-site owner representative for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on a data center project. You will coordinate MEP activities, review technical documentation, monitor installation quality and compliance, oversee commissioning activities, resolve deficiencies, attend equipment acceptance tests, report progress, and assess MEP change proposals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of MEP construction or commissioning experience
- At least 4 years of data center or mission-critical experience
- Knowledge of critical power systems and cooling infrastructure
- Experience with Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM coordination
- Ability to interpret MEP drawings, single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment submittals
- Procore experience
- Bluebeam Revu proficiency
- OSHA 30 certification
- Adherence to electrical safety protocols and site PPE
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site owner representative for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing scopes
- Lead MEP coordination meetings and BIM clash-detection reviews
- Review MEP submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs for technical accuracy and compliance
- Monitor installation sequencing, quality, and code compliance
- Coordinate MEP systems with IT, low-voltage, raised-floor, and structural elements
- Oversee startup and pre-commissioning activities
- Track and resolve open items, punch-list deficiencies, and non-conformance reports
- Attend factory and site acceptance tests for major equipment
- Provide MEP progress summaries
- Review MEP change proposals for technical validity and owner impact
