About the Role
You will own customer-facing project management from lease execution through Ready for Service. You will coordinate customers, internal teams, and contractors across design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and delivery. You will manage change requests, communicate impacts and project updates, lead meetings, track decisions and risks, and coordinate project closeout and handoff.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project management, construction management, owner's representation, or customer delivery
- Direct experience in data center environments
- Knowledge of EPC and general contractor processes
- Experience with design development, RFIs, submittals, procurement, construction sequencing, commissioning, change management, and project closeout
- Experience assessing cost, schedule, technical, contractual, and operational impacts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage senior customer stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple decisions, timelines, approvals, and workstreams
- Familiarity with data center leases, EPC agreements, construction contracts, and change orders preferred
Responsibilities
- Serve as the customer’s primary contact for design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and delivery matters
- Integrate the customer, internal teams, and the general contractor
- Maintain knowledge of design development, construction sequencing, RFIs, submittals, schedules, issues, and change orders
- Manage customer-initiated change requests from intake through closeout
- Assess and communicate the effects of proposed changes
- Ensure change orders and customer requests follow applicable processes
- Translate customer requirements into direction for internal and contractor teams
- Provide regular project updates to the customer and leadership
- Lead recurring customer project meetings
- Maintain action logs, decision records, and issue trackers
- Track customer requests, commitments, delivery obligations, amendments, approvals, and communications
- Identify and escalate project risks
- Coordinate project closeout and handoff to Asset Management
