About the Role
You will lead end-to-end commissioning for AI data centre projects. You will plan and manage testing, documentation, turnover, risk, change, compliance, and stakeholder coordination; oversee critical MEP equipment testing; resolve technical issues; report progress; mentor project teams; and travel to project sites.
Requirements
- Data centre commissioning experience
- Construction QA/QC knowledge
- Project management knowledge
- Data centre operations and maintenance knowledge
- Knowledge of UPS systems, switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling systems, and critical mechanical systems
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant engineering, building services, technology, or computer science field
- At least 8 years of data centre facility construction and commissioning experience
- Project and document-platform proficiency, including Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or SharePoint
- Experience developing commissioning test scripts and method statements
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to travel approximately 30% to 40% of the time
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end commissioning for mechanical, electrical, ELV, and BMS systems
- Manage commissioning planning, execution, scheduling, documentation, and system turnover
- Coordinate commissioning milestones with construction, design, vendors, contractors, and clients
- Review and approve commissioning procedures, test scripts, method statements, and IST protocols
- Ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and operational-readiness expectations
- Oversee functional testing of critical MEP infrastructure equipment
- Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning
- Track commissioning progress, risks, and reporting metrics
- Complete commissioning documentation, punch lists, markups, and turnover packages
- Support site acceptance testing, client witnessing, and final handover
- Manage risk, issue, and change processes and project risk registers
- Review construction, QA/QC, commissioning, issue, and metric status
- Coach project teams and develop commissioning procedures
- Provide commissioning training and technical support
- Travel to sites for reviews, safety audits, progress evaluations, and startup
