About the Role

You will own cost management across the data-center portfolio from early budgeting and estimating through construction and final account. You will develop estimates, maintain forecasts, review change orders, report portfolio costs, manage contingencies and risks, and lead value engineering. You will establish tools, workflows, reporting, and cost benchmarks.

Requirements

• Experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or construction estimating
• Hands-on data center or mission-critical construction experience
• Understand civil, structural, MEP, HV/LV power, cooling, emergency power, and IT fit-out costs
• Benchmark costs by MW, square foot, and kilowatt
• Assess change-order pricing, scope gaps, and entitlement
• Understand GMP, lump-sum, and cost-plus contracts
• Use Procore, Sage, or equivalent cost-management tools
• Degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Own cost planning across all project phases
• Develop detailed construction estimates
• Maintain cost forecasts, track actuals against budgets, and surface variances
• Review change orders for scope, commercial accuracy, and contract entitlement
• Prepare executive-level cost reports
• Manage contingency tracking and cost-risk registers
• Lead value engineering exercises
• Support procurement, bid leveling, scope-gap analysis, and contract negotiation
• Advise on contract structures and commercial risk allocation
• Build cost-management tools, templates, workflows, reporting, and benchmarks
• Contribute order-of-magnitude estimates for site selection and investment decisions
