About the Role
You will lead financial analytics and project costing across the data center build lifecycle. You will establish cost structures, benchmarks, forecasting methods, and reporting; analyze cost drivers and variances; translate construction data into leadership insights; and improve capital efficiency through reliable planning and decision support.
Requirements
- 8+ years of construction finance, project controls, capital projects accounting, or project finance experience
- Experience managing construction budgets, cost reporting, and draw processes for large capital projects
- Familiarity with construction loan agreements, funding mechanics, and lender requirements
- Knowledge of GC/EPC contracts, change orders, and construction risk allocation
- Experience managing operating budgets and cost performance for live facilities
- Financial modeling and cost-tracking skills
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or sites
- Cross-functional collaboration with construction, operations, lenders, and finance teams
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, construction management, engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Develop cost taxonomies, analytical frameworks, and benchmarks for data center builds
- Own the Estimate at Completion financial framework and identify cost pressures early
- Analyze cost variances against underwriting, budgets, forecasts, and benchmarks
- Develop construction economics and capital-efficiency analysis
- Improve early-stage estimates using feedback from actual project performance
- Create portfolio-level reporting on cost trends, risks, and opportunities
- Translate project forecasts and schedules into capital and cash-spend forecasts
- Provide financial analysis for design, procurement, contracting, and schedule decisions
- Define data ownership, controls, and reporting architecture for cost analytics
