About the Role

You will join a premier legal team based in London, supporting pioneering financial services and digital asset projects. You'll focus on capital markets, including traded products and prime brokerage, leading innovation efforts and playing a vital role in transforming the financial industry.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
  • 5 - 8 years' PQE with a background in capital markets, traded products, and/or prime brokerage
  • Knowledge of financial services, traded products, and capital markets is essential
  • Familiarity with digital assets is preferred
  • A solid grasp of UK and EU financial services regulation is required
  • Experience gained either in-house at a financial institution or within a top-tier private practice
  • Ability to present sophisticated issues clearly and concisely and provide succinct and practical legal advice

Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements supporting the company's products, partnerships, and activities across multiple business lines
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to aid the development and introduction of new products and services
  • Provide practical and commercially focused recommendations concerning financial services regulation within the UK, EU, and other international regions, including licensing and regulatory engagement
  • Assist with corporate governance matters and other general legal issues as they arise
  • Deliver legal assistance across key capital markets functions, encompassing prime brokerage, execution platforms, and traded products
  • Provide legal support for various financial services and digital asset activities, including cross-border payments, stablecoin issuance, and custodial solutions
