About the Role
You will manage the operational delivery of export controls, customs compliance, and third-party risk activities. You will oversee licensing, classifications, logistics compliance, audits, screening, training, and internal guidance while responding to business queries and maintaining compliance records.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with U.S. Export Administration Regulations and UK export controls
- Experience with software and technology export classification, including ECCN determination
- Experience with multi-jurisdictional sanctions regimes
- Experience with governance, risk, compliance, and due-diligence screening tools
- Hands-on customs and trade operations compliance experience
- Experience designing or running third-party audits
- Ability to operationalise requirements through processes, tooling, and training
- Sound judgement and confidence with senior stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Conduct export compliance risk assessments
- Manage export licences and End User Certificates
- Maintain restricted-party screening
- Produce regulatory horizon scans
- Support export-control classification activities
- Oversee importer and exporter of record arrangements
- Maintain import and export documentation controls
- Operate asset-transfer validation and reconciliation
- Run denied-party screening across the logistics chain
- Design and run logistics assurance and audit plans
- Draft and update policies and procedures
- Respond to internal compliance queries
- Build self-service compliance guidance
- Deliver export control, sanctions, and customs training
