About the Role
You will conduct operational due diligence of third-party alternative fund managers, assess compliance controls and regulatory changes, identify process improvements, and partner with business stakeholders. You will support oversight through due diligence questionnaires, check-ins, onsite visits, and reporting to compliance leaders and governing bodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Five or more years of compliance, risk, or regulatory experience in financial services
- Understanding of federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
- Experience supporting alternative investment products or private funds is preferred
- Analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Some travel is required
- No immigration sponsorship is available
Responsibilities
- Conduct operational due diligence of third-party fund managers
- Assess compliance controls, regulatory changes, and improvement opportunities
- Support compliance oversight for alternative investment products
- Build partnerships with business stakeholders
- Complete due diligence questionnaires and periodic check-ins
- Conduct onsite visits
- Report to chief compliance officers, steering committees, and boards
- Identify process improvements through technology solutions
