About the Role
You will own the AML/BSA and OFAC compliance program, including policies, risk assessments, training, and reporting. You will lead customer due diligence and transaction monitoring, manage bank-partner compliance relationships, investigate risks, remediate review findings, and translate compliance needs into onboarding, screening, monitoring, and payment controls. You will also assess products, corridors, and partnerships, and build scalable compliance processes and a team.
Requirements
- Experience owning a BSA/AML program or leading a substantial part of one at a payments fintech, MSB, or bank
- Knowledge of US BSA/AML requirements, OFAC sanctions, customer due diligence, and payment risk
- Experience with cross-border payments, foreign financial institutions, or correspondent banking
- Experience working with bank compliance teams and independent reviewers
- Ability to work with engineers, data, and automated compliance systems
- CAMS or a similar qualification is a plus
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Flagright is useful
Responsibilities
- Own the AML/BSA and OFAC compliance program, including policies, risk assessments, training, and management reporting
- Lead KYC/KYB, beneficial ownership verification, and enhanced due diligence
- Build and improve transaction monitoring, investigate alerts, document decisions, and coordinate suspicious-activity escalation
- Manage compliance relationships with partner banks, including due diligence, reviews, and issue resolution
- Run independent AML/BSA reviews and remediate findings
- Partner with engineering to implement onboarding, screening, monitoring, and payment controls
- Assess products, payment corridors, and partnerships and recommend launch requirements
- Build the compliance team and operating processes
