About the Role
You will lead the full accounting function, including financial close, reporting, technical accounting, equity accounting, tax compliance, audit readiness, internal controls, and treasury operations. You will implement scalable finance systems and policies, manage external-auditor relationships, and provide financial reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Active CPA license
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role
- Experience in a pre-IPO or high-growth venture-backed company
- NetSuite implementation, migration, or optimization experience
- Internal control framework experience
- U.S. GAAP expertise
- External financial audit management experience
- Ongoing United States work authorization without employer sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting research and prepare position memos
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close
- Manage R&D accounting, accruals, prepaids, and program cost tracking
- Build financial reporting packages and Board management decks
- Own ASC 718 equity accounting and plan administration
- Design and maintain an internal control framework
- Lead audit readiness and manage external auditor relationships
- Manage tax compliance and R&D tax matters
- Establish accounting policies, procedures, and infrastructure
- Evaluate and implement finance technology
- Manage cash, banking relationships, forecasting, and liquidity
