About the Role

You will own day-to-day accounting operations and keep transactions accurate, timely, and audit-ready. You will execute the monthly close, manage AP and AR activities, prepare reconciliations and audit support, assist with SEC and SOX work, improve processes, and guide accounting staff or contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and close ownership
  • Experience with SEC reporting and public-company close cycles
  • Experience at a public company or auditing a public company
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to operate with SOX-level control expectations
  • People-management experience leading accounting staff
  • Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Execute the monthly close process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and close checklists
  • Prepare and review balance-sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts and bitcoin holdings
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including payments, invoicing, and cash application
  • Support technical accounting for stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, and fixed assets or leases
  • Prepare audit supporting schedules and prepared-by-client requests
  • Assist with SOX control execution and documentation
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase close speed and accuracy
  • Train, review, and guide accounting staff and contractors
