About the Role

You will lead the accounting function and own the integrity of the financials. You will manage close, reporting, accounting policy, audit, controls, financial systems, and complex accounting areas. You will build scalable processes and an accounting organization, partner on forecasting and strategic transactions, and support public-company readiness.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful leadership responsibility
  • Experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader at a high-growth technology company
  • Deep command of U.S. GAAP and experience owning complex accounting judgments
  • Experience leading audits and financial reporting controls
  • Experience designing accounting processes and systems
  • Analytical skills and willingness to work in operational detail
  • Clear communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
  • Own accounting policy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Lead external audits and manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and accounting partners
  • Build scalable accounting processes, policies, controls, and reporting
  • Develop financial systems architecture, including the chart of accounts, cost centers, project accounting, procurement, and payroll systems
  • Establish accounting for complex compute, infrastructure, revenue, equity, lease, and multi-entity matters
  • Partner with FP&A on actuals, forecasts, budgets, and management reporting
  • Build and lead the accounting organization
  • Support financings, investor and board reporting, diligence, and strategic transactions
  • Build an accounting and control environment for growth and public-company readiness
  • Lead annual 409A valuation processes
