About the Role

You will lead accounting operations, including billing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. You will prepare financial reports and statements, manage payments, maintain accounting policies, ensure regulatory compliance, advise on financial decisions, and guide accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration with an accounting emphasis, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Previous controller or assistant controller experience
  • Computer skills including GSuite and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and software-system implementation experience
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles, and GAAP
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and regulations
  • Written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting operations including billing, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
  • Maintain accounting policies and operations
  • Oversee account payments and payments for debts and bank loans
  • Process accounts and collect payments
  • Prepare and organize financial statements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Advise on financial analysis and decision-making
  • Define, benchmark, and implement operational best practices
  • Ensure compliance with financial, tax, legal, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage, guide, and train accounting staff
