About the Role
You will manage utility-scale solar and battery energy storage construction projects on site, including schedules, budgets, safety, quality, contracts, permits, milestones, and closeout. You will coordinate EPC contractors, landowners, regulators, engineering teams, and project stakeholders. You will conduct site inspections and safety walks, track progress, review invoices and change orders, manage punch lists, collect deliverables, and report project risks and status. You will travel and generally work at project sites five days per week.
Requirements
- Five years of onsite utility-scale solar, battery storage, or substation construction management experience
- Advanced knowledge of solar construction management processes, methods, and practices
- Expert knowledge of construction products, details, regulations, and quality standards
- OSHA 30 certification
- Ability to travel and generally work on site five days per week
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
- Ability to conduct physically rigorous site inspections in varying climates
- Procore knowledge
- Drone operation capability
- Google Earth capability
- FAA 107 license is preferred and required if not already completed
- Bachelor of Science degree is preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage utility-scale solar and battery storage construction projects
- Coordinate safety, environmental, regulatory, landowner, EPC contractor, and project-team communications
- Prepare and manage project execution plans, schedules, kickoff meetings, and closeout
- Manage on-site contract employees and approve time records
- Manage contracts, change orders, construction milestones, and project deliverables
- Conduct daily safety walks and submit safety reports
- Track schedule performance and manage remediation plans
- Verify construction quality, QA/QC plan adherence, scopes of work, and design plans
- Review invoices and approve completed work
- Manage construction punch lists
