About the Role
You will lead the compliance function, serve as BSA Officer, and oversee BSA/AML, sanctions, licensing, regulatory examinations, audits, and charter work. You will build scalable policies, controls, training, risk assessments, and monitoring processes while advising leadership and partnering with Operations, Product, and Engineering.
Requirements
- Experience building and running compliance programs at a regulated financial institution
- BSA Officer experience
- Experience managing regulatory exams and audits
- Experience building relationships with regulators and bank partners
- Direct experience with OCC processes
- People leadership experience managing and developing analysts
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the compliance analyst team
- Serve as BSA Officer and own BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions programs
- Build and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and company-wide training
- Own the compliance risk assessment and drive remediation priorities
- Develop independent compliance testing and monitoring
- Maintain state money transmitter licenses and advance the OCC national trust charter process
- Manage relationships with regulators and bank partners
- Manage regulatory exams, audits, and third-party assessments through remediation
- Approve compliance sign-off for new products and features
- Build scalable compliance systems and processes
- Advise executive leadership and the Board on regulatory strategy and emerging risk
- Partner with Operations, Product, and Engineering to embed compliance
