About the Role
You'll help build the legal foundation for Slash as it scales, reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with leadership and the founders. This broad role spans product, commercial, and regulatory legal work, including risk management, agreements, partnerships, and internal legal processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm, in-house, and/or government setting
- Strong generalist skillset across commercial, regulatory, and/or product-related legal work
- Experience in fintech, financial services, banking, or high-growth technology companies
- Excellent judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
- Clear and concise communication style
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership
- Very high ownership mindset
Responsibilities
- Advise on product, commercial, and regulatory legal matters
- Support development and launch of financial products and features
- Draft, review, and negotiate partnership, vendor, and customer agreements
- Structure strategic relationships with banks, fintech partners, and infrastructure providers
- Partner with compliance, risk, and operations teams on regulatory strategy
- Build scalable legal processes, templates, and frameworks
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and propose practical solutions
- Manage external counsel where needed
