About the Role
You will identify repetitive operational work and replace it with internal tools. You will build and maintain tools for planning, forecasting, pricing, billing, sourcing, and KPI reporting; create Slack assistants; support users after launch; monitor data quality; and provide leadership with data-driven recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred, or Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, data and analytics, solutions engineering, or technical business operations
- Understanding of data types, functions, APIs, databases, and version control
- Comfort using AI agents to write code, REST APIs, Git, and the command line
- Examples of projects built with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex
- Familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting, tool calling, and structured outputs
- Strong analytical skills and business judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment
- Willingness to travel to warehouses in Texas and New Jersey a few times per year
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Identify manual and repetitive work across non-engineering teams and replace it with tools
- Build and maintain internal tools for capacity planning, forecasting, pricing, billing, candidate sourcing, and KPI reporting
- Build Slack bots and assistants using warehouse, robot, and financial data
- Support launched tools by fixing issues, helping users, and monitoring adoption
- Help colleagues use AI coding tools and maintain shared Claude Code documentation
- Define and monitor KPIs and maintain data accuracy
- Ensure appropriate reviews and approvals for tools that affect sensitive data or production systems
- Analyze data and present recommendations to leadership
