About the Role
You will lead hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems from benchtop prototyping through flight tests. You will configure embedded Linux and containerized software, troubleshoot networks and hardware, develop validation tooling, fabricate wiring, and manage communications between vehicle and ground systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in robotics integration, flight-test engineering, embedded systems, or autonomous vehicles
- Linux command-line, file-management, system-logging, IP-routing, subnet, and Docker expertise
- Hands-on wiring, cable assembly, soldering, oscilloscope, and multimeter skills
- Python, C++, or Shell scripting proficiency
- Experience with UART, CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C
- Ability to lead integration efforts independently
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility for a U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead hardware and software integration for unmanned aerial systems
- Configure and deploy edge software across onboard computers and peripheral hardware
- Troubleshoot vehicle networks, payload interfaces, and sensor links
- Develop Python and C++ tooling for data reduction, log analysis, and system validation
- Fabricate wiring harnesses and perform soldering and hardware diagnostics
- Configure IP routing, subnets, and local network interfaces
