About the Role

You will design, implement, and optimize production-ready software that connects autonomy capabilities with mission-control, remote-assistance, route-advisor, and on-truck-management systems. You will lead real-time C++ development for vehicle guidance and status monitoring, translate system requirements into scalable architectures and algorithms, and support simulation, testing, safety-critical development, and cross-functional integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 0–3+ years of experience
  • Strong C++14/17 or later programming skills
  • Experience with real-time, safety-critical, or high-performance applications
  • Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and kinematic models
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, testable code
  • 5+ years of embedded software architecture, design, and implementation experience
  • Experience optimizing C++ code for speed and memory usage
  • Experience with unit and/or system-level testing
  • Technical documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize interfaces between autonomy and mission-management systems
  • Lead development of real-time C++ software for vehicle guidance and status monitoring
  • Translate system-level requirements into scalable software architectures, algorithms, component requirements, and verification artifacts
  • Contribute to simulation and testing frameworks for algorithm validation
  • Collaborate with back-office, perception, controls, and safety functions on end-to-end integration
  • Mentor peers through technical reviews, best practices, and hands-on collaboration
  • Research route-planning methods and integrate appropriate machine-learning techniques
  • Improve software quality, safety, performance, and development processes
  • Support safety-critical development aligned with automotive standards and production release requirements
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
