About the Role

You will support electronics and embedded-software development for robotic systems. You will design and review circuits and PCBs, write and debug C/C++ firmware, bring up and instrument boards, build test setups, analyze data, and help resolve manufacturing and field issues. You will document schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, and test reports.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline
  • 0–3 years of professional experience, including qualifying internships, co-ops, research, competition teams, or substantial personal projects
  • Analog and digital circuit design knowledge
  • Power electronics fundamentals
  • Schematic capture experience with a professional tool such as Altium
  • C or C++ proficiency on microcontrollers
  • Bare-metal or RTOS familiarity
  • Python proficiency for test automation and application-level work
  • Git and code-review familiarity
  • Knowledge of SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and bench power supplies
  • Soldering and board rework ability
  • Ability to work from the NYC office five days per week
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout review
  • Write, test, and debug embedded C/C++ firmware
  • Develop peripheral drivers, communication interfaces, sensor integration, and device control
  • Bring up and debug hardware using laboratory instruments
  • Build test setups and analyze characterization data
  • Support production test fixtures, design for testability, and electrical builds
  • Triage and root-cause manufacturing and field issues
  • Partner with mechanical, controls, software, and operations stakeholders
  • Produce schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, test plans, and test reports
