About the Role
You will bring up, validate, and characterize ASICs from first silicon through production ramp. You will debug silicon issues across RTL, firmware, and systems; validate IP and compute units; build automation and regression frameworks; use lab instruments; define coverage; and provide feedback on yield, errata, and workarounds.
Requirements
- 7+ years of post-silicon validation, bring-up, and ASIC-debug experience
- Expertise in early-silicon bring-up, debug, and validation
- Knowledge of peripheral interfaces and board-level debug
- Proficiency in C, Python, and validation-automation scripting
- Expertise with oscilloscopes, logic or protocol analyzers, and validation lab tools
- Familiarity with firmware, bootloaders, and low-level silicon-debug environments
- Problem-solving, analysis, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Drive first-silicon bring-up, boot, initialization, and ASIC debug
- Debug silicon issues across RTL, firmware, and system levels
- Root-cause and resolve functional and electrical issues with design, verification, and board teams
- Validate and characterize custom IP blocks and accelerator components
- Execute functional and performance validation of compute units
- Conduct IP-level and full-chip stress testing and corner-case analysis
- Develop post-silicon validation infrastructure, automation, and test suites
- Implement result-capture, analysis, and regression frameworks
- Use lab instrumentation for signal and system characterization
- Define validation strategies and coverage metrics
- Coordinate transitions from pre-silicon verification to post-silicon validation
- Provide feedback on test escapes, yield issues, silicon errata, and firmware or driver workarounds
