About the Role

You will take full ownership of accounting and core finance operations for a multi-entity group operating across several jurisdictions. You will run the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, maintain the general ledger, and keep documentation audit-ready at all times. You will manage intercompany accounting, lead crypto transaction accounting and reconciliation across wallets and exchanges, and maintain classification rules for crypto flows. You will implement finance controls, coordinate with external accountants and auditors, deliver management-ready reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and maintain visibility across fiat and crypto treasury positions.

Requirements

• 6+ years in accounting, controllership, or finance operations roles
• Prior experience in web3/crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory
• Strong technical accounting foundation with IFRS/GAAP-level knowledge
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting across multiple jurisdictions
• Crypto-native accounting experience including wallets, exchanges, reconciliation, and audit trails
• Strong documentation discipline and high integrity
• Comfortable operating in a lean, high-ownership environment
• Excellent written communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Xero is mandatory
• Hands-on experience with Cryptio is mandatory
• Bookkeeping and compliance experience across US, SVG, Panama, or UAE is a plus
• Experience supporting audits, due diligence, or fundraising processes is a plus
• Familiarity with crypto accounting tooling beyond Cryptio or blockchain analytics explorers is a plus
• Basic SQL or data proficiency for financial analysis is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across entities
• Maintain the general ledger including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and FX revaluation
• Run a standard close calendar and checklist
• Maintain a monthly exceptions queue and clear it consistently
• Keep documentation audit-ready with organized evidence chains
• Own bookkeeping across all entities with consistent policies and coding
• Maintain intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, and balances
• Support arm's-length and related-party hygiene with clear documentation
• Lead end-to-end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, networks, and tokens
• Reconcile crypto balances and maintain strong audit trails
• Maintain classification rules for crypto flows such as revenue, custody transfers, gas fees, staking, airdrops, and liquidity provision
• Maintain schedules for realized and unrealized gains and losses and cost basis
• Implement and maintain finance controls and segregation of duties
• Maintain a compliance calendar with external advisors
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel
• Deliver management-ready reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Produce burn reporting and spend insights
• Support budgeting and forecasting cadence including budget vs actual variance analysis
• Maintain visibility across fiat accounts and crypto holdings
• Produce cash and treasury reporting including runway snapshots
