About the Role

You will lead business development efforts across the Department of War, driving pipeline growth and shaping opportunities from early identification through award. You'll engage directly with Pentagon and senior defense stakeholders, building trusted relationships that convert mission needs into funded programs. You'll manage a pipeline spanning contracts, OTAs, and SBIRs, while developing partnerships with primes, innovation organizations, and technology companies. You'll also advise leadership on growth strategy and market positioning as you position the company as a credible partner within the Department of War.

Requirements

  • 15+ years in defense, government, or national security roles
  • Senior-level experience (military, government, or equivalent leadership)
  • Deep familiarity with Department acquisition, funding and stakeholder landscape
  • Proven ability to build relationships and convert mission needs into funded programs
  • Must be a US Citizen based in the Washington DC area
  • Experience supporting or engaging programs integrating technology into DoW
  • Background in emerging technologies (AI, autonomy, cyber, space)
  • Experience leading business development teams
