About the Role

You will oversee external fund administration and accounting reporting, review NAV packages and financial statements, ensure reporting deadlines, maintain a strong control environment, support complex products, lead accounting for assigned mandates, oversee regulatory compliance, coordinate audited financials, develop custom reporting, and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in private accounting as a fund controller
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience with a public accounting firm
Experience with open-end alternative investment products and related asset classes
CPA designation is a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day external administration and accounting reporting for assigned funds
Review NAV accounting packages for accuracy and completeness
Ensure fund NAV, investor reporting, and regulatory reporting deadlines are met
Review financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and GAAP or IFRS compliance
Maintain a strong internal and external control environment
Support complex products and investment types
Lead accounting for assigned mandates including valuation and reconciliations
Oversee SEC, NFA, and other regulatory compliance
Coordinate audited financials with the audit team
Handle custom reporting requests and projects
Develop reporting for clients and partners
Resolve operational issues with service providers and internal teams
