About the Role
You will manage accounting and operational activities for venture capital and closed-end funds. You will review NAVs, capital accounts, fees, valuations, treasury, capital calls, distributions, audits, tax processes, investor reporting, and fund records while supporting fund launches, SPVs, co-investments, and liquid hedge fund products.
Requirements
- 3-7 years of accounting experience
- Venture capital, private equity, or closed-end fund accounting experience
- Experience with capital calls, distributions, and capital account allocations
- Experience coordinating with third-party fund administrators
- Experience managing audits of closed-end fund structures
- Working knowledge of limited partnership agreements, management fees, carried interest, and waterfall provisions
- Familiarity with ASC 820 fair value measurement for level 3 illiquid investments
- CPA preferred
- Digital assets or cryptocurrency experience is a bonus
- Experience with SAFEs, convertible notes, token warrants, or direct token investment is a bonus
- Experience with SPVs and co-investment vehicles is a bonus
Responsibilities
- Review quarterly and annual fund NAVs, capital account allocations, and partner capital account statements
- Manage capital calls, distributions, commitments, contributions, and unfunded balances
- Manage fund cash, expenses, treasury, and investment closing mechanics
- Prepare quarterly Schedules of Investments and valuation committee materials
- Calculate and review management fees, carried interest, and distribution waterfalls
- Support product development, fund launches, SPVs, and co-investment vehicles
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, fund administrators, auditors, and tax preparers
- Maintain investment-level records across the portfolio
- Monitor compliance with limited partnership agreements and side letters
- Coordinate annual audits and tax processes, including review of partner K-1s
- Support liquid hedge fund products
- Use AI and automation tools to improve productivity and output quality
