About the Role

You will take a remote pathology diagnostics venture from problem definition through MVP scoping, shipping, testing, and iteration. You will validate assumptions through lean experiments, shape the customer experience and product vision, balance user, commercial, and technical needs, work with founders to sharpen focus, support studio stage gates, track market dynamics and user behaviour, and communicate progress, learnings, trade-offs, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Experience in technology startups focused on life sciences or bioengineering, ideally with exposure to pathology or laboratory products
  • Understanding of AI-powered diagnostics or Internet of Medical Things and its pressure points
  • Hardware engineering exposure, including sensors, calibration, or device manufacturing
  • Experience navigating regulatory pathways for health products
  • Ability to manage, monitor, and support a distributed network of devices or units
  • Experience with Edge AI is a bonus
  • Knowledge of lean methodologies and experimental approaches
  • Ability to work across product, design, technology, and growth
  • Ability to build no-code or low-code solutions, prototypes, or proofs of concept
  • Ability to develop ideal customer profiles, value propositions, pricing hypotheses, and early go-to-market approaches

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end early build from problem definition and MVP scoping through shipping, testing, and iteration
  • Validate assumptions and generate learning through lean, experimental approaches
  • Shape the customer experience and product vision while balancing user, commercial, and technical needs
  • Work with founders to challenge thinking, sharpen focus, and drive momentum
  • Support ventures through studio stage gates and evidence-backed investment committee decisions
  • Identify opportunities through market dynamics, emerging technology, and user behaviour
  • Communicate progress, learnings, trade-offs, and recommendations to founders and the wider studio
