About the Role
You will support the design, integration, testing, and operation of thermal control systems for spacecraft and lunar systems. You will create thermal hardware designs, build thermal models, support supplier specifications and validation, assist assembly and thermal-vacuum testing, and train for mission operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or similar Engineering with 2 years of thermal-technology experience, or a master's degree with related thermal experience.
- Thermal-fluid engineering knowledge.
- Thermal-fluid system design and analysis software experience.
- Analytical or scientific programming experience with Python, C/C++, Matlab, or Fortran.
- Verbal and written communication skills, including technical reports and presentations.
- ITAR access.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, integration, testing, and operation of spacecraft thermal control systems.
- Create conceptual and detailed thermal-system and hardware designs.
- Build and run thermal models to guide design and operational decisions.
- Create vendor component specifications and validate component performance.
- Support spacecraft assembly in the cleanroom.
- Support in-house and external thermal-vacuum testing.
- Train in mission operations procedures and provide real-time mission operations support.
