About the Role
You will design, fabricate, test, and iterate mechanical systems for autonomous construction robots. You will take ideas from initial scoping and calculations through rapid prototyping, field deployment, and scalable production-ready designs. You will work hands-on in the workshop and on construction sites to improve autonomy, reliability, payload capacity, and precision.
Requirements
- Proven record of independently delivering shipped projects
- Experience designing and delivering products from concept to low-series volume
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping, 3D printing, machining, and milling
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and structural dynamics
- Expertise in 3D CAD modeling for complex parts and assemblies
- Expertise in multi-physics simulations and hand calculations
- Experience selecting, sourcing, and integrating electronic components into hardware designs
