About the Role
You will drive supplier-facing execution for technical hardware programs. You will manage RFQs, purchase orders, quotes, commercial terms, delivery tracking, supplier escalations, material readiness, and supply-chain risk. You will work with engineering and program leadership to turn requirements into supplier actions and protect schedule, technical ownership, and commercial interests.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, operations management, or a closely related field
- Experience in procurement, supplier management, contracts, supply chain, or commercial execution in a hardware environment
- Early-stage startup experience
- Experience supporting U.S. government, defense, aerospace, or Space Force-related programs
- Working knowledge of ITAR, EAR, export-controlled environments, controlled technical data, supplier access risks, and foreign person restrictions
- Experience negotiating supplier-facing terms and commercial risk allocation
- Ability to work with engineers and translate program needs into supplier actions
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance if required
- Current authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Own supplier-facing execution including RFQs, purchase orders, supplier follow-up, delivery tracking, and issue resolution
- Translate engineering and program needs into supplier actions
- Negotiate payment, delivery, cancellation, IP, warranty, liability, inspection, and acceptance terms
- Review supplier quotes, terms and conditions, order documents, and commercial proposals
- Coordinate with engineering and program leadership on supplier tradeoffs and priorities
- Escalate supplier issues and manage commercial risk
- Support export-controlled and government-program procurement activity
- Track flow-down requirements, deliverables, acceptance terms, compliance risks, and supplier commitments
- Maintain visibility into purchase orders, delivery risk, lead times, blockers, and next actions
- Build supplier execution practices
