About the Role

You will lead the end-to-end expansion of local data center capacity in Iceland. You will evaluate sites and colocation proposals, run procurement and contract processes, manage budgets and investment cases, coordinate delivery workstreams, and report project progress, risks, and developments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center capacity acquisition, colocation procurement, or infrastructure real estate
• Ability to assess power and cooling infrastructure
• Experience reviewing and evaluating colocation proposals and shortlisting processes
• Experience running RFI/RFP processes, commercial evaluations, and supplier negotiations
• Ability to review and negotiate colocation and power contracts
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Iceland

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, evaluation, and development of data center expansion opportunities in Iceland
• Review site proposals and colocation opportunities
• Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, leases, partnerships, and vendor contracts
• Represent the company with local authorities, regulatory bodies, utilities, and third-party stakeholders
• Own RFI/RFP preparation, vendor shortlisting, commercial negotiation, and contract execution
• Manage project budgets, financial models, and investment cases
• Ensure expansion activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies
• Coordinate internal and external workstreams to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Report project status, risks, and material developments to senior management
• Build and maintain a pipeline of evaluated and pre-qualified sites
• Support the establishment and governance of the operational presence in Iceland
