About the Role
You will plan, execute, and deliver defense and space programs. You will manage cost, schedule, scope, risk, quality, contracts, compliance, and customer commitments. You will coordinate cross-functional execution, maintain program controls, resolve risks, support proposals, and communicate status to leadership and customers.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of program management, technical program management, or engineering program leadership experience
- Experience in defense, space, or a highly regulated technical environment
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a resource-constrained or startup-like environment
- Knowledge of program cost, schedule, risk, technical scope, and customer deliverables
- Contract, statement of work, milestone, and customer-obligation experience
- Knowledge of DFARS, prime contracts, subcontractor flow-downs, and government contracting
- ITAR familiarity
- Earned Value Management knowledge
- Experience with firm-fixed-price and cost-plus contracts
- Ability to support work outside normal business hours when required
- U.S. Person status for export-control compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead planning, execution, and delivery of defense and space programs
- Own program cost, schedule, scope, risk, quality, deliverables, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain program plans, schedules, risk registers, action trackers, and status reporting
- Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, contracts, finance, and business development
- Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers and drive mitigation plans
- Lead recovery efforts for challenged programs
- Support contract reviews, proposals, statements of work, milestones, and customer communications
- Support DFARS, ITAR, export-control, and government-contracting compliance
- Communicate program status, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations
- Build customer relationships through proactive communication and execution
