About the Role
You will lead and grow a six-person engineering group while remaining hands-on with technical work. You will own delivery across travel search, inventory, quoting, repricing, checkout, policy evaluation, loyalty, and post-booking servicing. You will ensure the reliability and correctness of systems that depend on supplier APIs, GDS and aggregator content, and TMC and OBT integrations. You will partner with Product, Design, Operations, Partnerships, and Sales on enterprise travel commitments, establish AI-assisted development practices, ship agentic booking features, and hire as the group grows.
Requirements
- 2+ years managing engineers on teams of roughly 5 to 15 people
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive successful execution
- Experience building a product from 0 to 1 and scaling it
- Ability to remain hands-on technically
- Ability to lead design reviews and evaluate architecture proposals
- Strong product judgment and comfort speaking with customers
- Experience owning a transactional system with external dependencies, such as booking, payments, marketplaces, or logistics
- Corporate travel experience with online booking tools, travel content sources, or traveler experiences
- Enterprise B2B fintech or travel and expense experience
- Experience rolling out agentic development tooling or shipping LLM-backed features
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, coach, and grow the engineering team
- Own delivery across travel management surfaces, including search, inventory, quoting, repricing, checkout, policy evaluation, loyalty, and post-booking servicing
- Own the reliability and correctness of systems with supplier APIs, GDS and aggregator content, and TMC and OBT integrations
- Partner with Product, Design, Operations, Partnerships, and Sales on enterprise travel commitments
- Set practices for AI-assisted development and ship agentic booking features
- Hire engineers as the team grows
