About the Role
You will lead plant operators and ensure safe, reliable operation of on-site generating units. You will manage LOTO clearances and isolations, troubleshoot unit performance, coordinate operations, maintenance, and contractor crews, train operators, maintain staffing schedules, and provide rotating on-call coverage.
Requirements
- 5 years of progressively responsible technical and supervisory power-plant operations experience for degreed candidates
- 10 years of progressively responsible technical and supervisory power-plant operations experience for non-degreed candidates
Responsibilities
- Direct and assist operators with safe and reliable unit operation
- Maintain LOTO and create and hang clearances
- Provide isolation for maintenance and contractor crews
- Identify and troubleshoot unit-operation and performance issues
- Enter notifications into WMMS SAP
- Coordinate maintenance, operations, and contractor crews
- Train operators through hands-on instruction
- Maintain shift, vacation, and overtime schedules
