About the Role
You will lead and unify Settlement and Trading Operations, Custody Operations, Financial Operations, Liquidity and Exchange Services, Technical Support Engineering, and Client Experience. You will build scalable controls and processes, manage operational risk, improve automation and reliability, and present performance, risk, and scaling plans to executive leadership. You will partner with Finance, Compliance, Engineering, Product, and Commercial stakeholders to maintain accurate, secure, and resilient operations.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of progressive operations-leadership experience in financial services, brokerage, banking, payments, or digital-asset infrastructure
- 5+ years in a senior or executive operations role
- Direct experience leading settlement, trading operations, or custody operations at a regulated financial institution, broker-dealer, exchange, or digital-asset platform
- Prior direct professional experience with digital assets, crypto, stablecoins, or tokenized assets
- Experience overseeing financial operations, reconciliation, client-facing support, or trade-support functions
- Track record of building and scaling operations functions and teams
- Deep understanding of digital-asset settlement, custody, and market infrastructure
- Experience in a regulated, compliance-first environment
- Analytical and risk-management skills
- Executive communication experience with C-suite and board-level audiences
- Based in or able to relocate to the New York, NY area
- Ability to travel to Chicago and Amsterdam as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead and unify global operations functions across settlement, trading, custody, financial operations, liquidity, technical support, and client experience
- Scale durable teams, controls, processes, and operational infrastructure
- Lead financial operations, including reconciliation, ledger accuracy, fee and revenue operations, and financial reporting
- Build controls and automation that protect financial-data integrity and reduce operational risk
- Oversee trade execution and settlement across digital assets and fiat rails
- Set controls for transaction lifecycle management, exception handling, break resolution, and settlement-risk monitoring
- Oversee digital-asset custody operations, wallet management, key ceremony protocols, asset movement controls, and audit readiness
- Manage sub-custodian and custody-technology partner relationships
- Oversee global liquidity strategy, execution, and liquidity-services operations
- Build relationships with liquidity partners, market makers, exchanges, banking partners, and stablecoin issuers
- Lead technical-support escalation, SLA, root-cause, and permanent-fix processes
- Lead end-user support, define client-experience quality standards and escalation tiers, and implement scalable tooling
- Present operational performance, risk, and scaling plans to executive leadership
- Travel to Chicago and Amsterdam hubs as needed
