About the Role

You will lead the design and development of distributed, cloud-native backend services for customer onboarding. You will partner with Product, Compliance, and engineering teams on orchestration and data pipelines, migrate onboarding logic from Salesforce, design data models, improve code quality and operations, and mentor engineers while setting technical direction.

Requirements

  • Deep backend engineering experience with cloud-native distributed systems
  • Exposure to frontend frameworks such as React or Vue
  • Experience designing and delivering large-scale systems
  • API design and integration skills with REST or gRPC
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or ECS
  • Experience reducing technical debt while delivering business value
  • Technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team influence
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot is preferred
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture, Kafka, or SNS/SQS is preferred
  • Domain knowledge in fintech, regtech, KYC/KYB, identity verification, or compliance-heavy systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of distributed cloud-native backend services
  • Partner with Product, Compliance, and engineering teams to design orchestration and data pipelines
  • Migrate onboarding logic from Salesforce into resilient and observable services
  • Build platform capabilities that improve onboarding while preserving trust and compliance
  • Contribute to data modeling for the identity platform
  • Champion code quality, testing, and operational practices
  • Mentor engineers and influence cross-team technical decisions
