About the Role
You will design, develop, and maintain production software for robot coordination, multi-robot simulation, system-state management, and operational workflows. You will build integrations, improve reliability and scalability, investigate field issues, mentor engineers, and often lead technical reviews and planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of production-level software development experience in C++, Python, or Rust
- Experience or knowledge of distributed systems, backend services, API design, CI/CD, AWS, and Kubernetes
- Experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects
- Communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience using analysis to influence operational and engineering changes
Responsibilities
- Design and develop production software for robot coordination, multi-robot simulations, system-state management, and operational workflows
- Build and maintain integrations with robot platforms, warehouse management systems, APIs, services, and data systems
- Improve reliability and scalability through testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning
- Triage and root-cause warehouse field issues
- Drive fleet software, integration, and robot software changes based on analysis
- Collaborate with robotics, machine learning, coordination, and product engineers
- Mentor engineers and improve team processes and technical standards
- Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning sessions
