About the Role

You will work with engineering and product management to prioritize, design, implement, test, and operate backend microservices. You will write Scala or Java software, build data pipelines, integrate third-party applications, and work with cloud APIs for the Databricks platform.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10+ years of production experience with Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language
  • Experience architecting, developing, deploying, and operating large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with SaaS platforms or service-oriented architectures
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with software security and systems handling sensitive data
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, design, implement, test, and operate platform microservices
  • Write software in Scala or Java
  • Build data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Kafka
  • Integrate third-party applications
  • Interact with AWS, Azure, CloudFormation, and Terraform APIs
