About the Role
You will own production training and technician qualification records, deliver classroom and on-the-job training, and assess training effectiveness. You will lead lean-improvement work, manage the CCAR process and Manufacturing Council, and build dashboards that inform production capacity, staffing, and ramp planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, or data analytics; equivalent technical experience in avionics or aerospace production may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or technical support role, preferably in aerospace, defense, UAS, or complex hardware manufacturing.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Own the VBAT production training program, including onboarding, role-based training, cross-training, recertification, skills development, and qualification records.
- Develop and deliver classroom, workstation, and on-the-job training for assembly, production, and test processes.
- Maintain skills matrices, training assessments, and training readiness metrics.
- Identify skill gaps and assess training effectiveness.
- Lead continuous-improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
- Use production, quality, and training data to resolve bottlenecks, defects, rework, material-flow issues, downtime, ergonomic risks, and capability gaps.
- Own the CCAR process and lead the Manufacturing Council.
- Establish standardized performance metrics, reporting cadences, and visual-management routines.
- Develop dashboards for output, throughput, yield, defects, rework, cycle time, downtime, labor efficiency, and training coverage.
