About the Role

You will own the requirements, integration, verification, and validation framework for warehouse robotics hardware, including drones, forklift-mounted vision systems, and charging and battery systems. You will evaluate technologies, build and run tests, integrate hardware with firmware and software, manage compliance testing, and deliver objective evidence for product releases.

Requirements

  • Experience owning requirements through verification and validation for an electromechanical product from concept to production
  • Experience decomposing product requirements to subsystem level with traceability and measurable acceptance criteria
  • Experience integrating hardware with firmware and software in robotic, embedded, autonomous, or complex electromechanical systems
  • Experience with bring-up and root-causing interface failures
  • Knowledge of design of experiments, data analysis, and statistically based sampling plans
  • Experience building test methods, rigs, fixtures, and data-acquisition systems
  • Experience with measurement system analysis such as Gauge R&R
  • BS in an engineering field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an MS with 8+ years

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware requirements and the verification and validation framework with traceability to verification evidence
  • Evaluate candidate technologies including cameras, illumination, propulsion, wireless charging, and batteries
  • Integrate electrical systems, firmware, software, and autonomy into hardware designs
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans, test rigs, fixtures, instrumentation, sampling plans, and experiments
  • Manage environmental and compliance testing with external test labs
  • Own power, thermal, mass, and EMC/RF budgets and lead system-level hazard analysis
  • Provide evidence for design reviews, design freeze, release, and engineering changes
  • Feed field-failure learnings back into requirements and tests
  • Shape production test strategy with the contract manufacturer
