About the Role
You will design and develop flight-critical model-based software and define compliant architectures, standards, and workflows. You will maintain requirements, models, generated code, verification artifacts, and documentation; integrate quality checks into CI pipelines; support certification reviews; and perform HIL, PIL, and flight-test activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of embedded or safety-critical software development experience
- Extensive experience with Simulink, Stateflow, and Embedded Coder
- Experience with Simulink Check, Simulink Code Inspector, Simulink Test, and Polyspace Bug Finder
- Experience with requirements management and tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion
- Working knowledge of DO-178C and hands-on DO-331 experience
- Experience with CI/CD and automated model and code-quality checks
- Experience developing embedded flight software in C/C++
- Experience with HIL testing, automated test execution, integration troubleshooting, and flight-test data analysis
- Experience with MATLAB scripting, tool automation, and test automation
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
- Design and develop flight-critical software using Simulink, Stateflow, and MathWorks tools
- Define software architecture, modeling standards, and workflows aligned with DO-178C and DO-331
- Create, maintain, and review software requirements, models, and auto-generated code
- Ensure requirements traceability, verification, and certification-artifact production
- Collaborate with systems, safety, hardware, flight-controls, and flight-test engineers
- Support CI pipelines for model checks, code generation, static analysis, and automated verification
- Contribute to SOI audits and certification reviews
- Create and maintain software documentation
- Support HIL, PIL, and flight-testing activities
