About the Role
You will install, integrate, configure, and support vision systems and electronic assemblies on crewed and uncrewed aircraft. You will load and validate software, perform system bring-up and testing, maintain configuration records, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, document service activity, and support customer deployments, demonstrations, training, and field logistics. You will follow safety, quality, airworthiness, cybersecurity, export-control, and configuration-management requirements while traveling to operational sites.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in field service, aerospace integration, electronics, avionics, mechatronics, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience installing, integrating, maintaining, or troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems, electronic assemblies, sensors, computing hardware, or airborne payloads
- Experience installing, configuring, updating, and verifying software or firmware using release and configuration-control procedures
- Ability to work from wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, mechanical and installation drawings, pinouts, work instructions, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, command-line tools, software deployment workflows, networking, and log collection
- Electrical troubleshooting skills including digital multimeter use, continuity testing, connector inspection, pin verification, cable routing, and termination or rework
- Hardware accountability and documentation skills
- Ability to troubleshoot software, electrical, network, and mechanical interfaces
- Customer-facing communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% and work outside standard hours when required
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
Responsibilities
- Install, integrate, configure, and support vision systems and electronic assemblies on aircraft and test assets
- Load, configure, update, and validate software releases
- Perform system bring-up, functional checkout, acceptance testing, and post-installation verification
- Maintain hardware and software configuration records
- Read and apply drawings, schematics, pinouts, interface-control documents, work instructions, and technical manuals
- Perform authorized wiring and electro-mechanical work
- Diagnose and resolve software, electrical, network, sensor, and mechanical integration issues
- Document field issues, test results, repairs, configuration changes, and corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, program, and customer personnel
- Support customer deployments, demonstrations, exercises, evaluations, and field-service logistics
- Provide customer support, operator and maintainer familiarization, and technical guidance
- Follow safety, quality, airworthiness, cybersecurity, export-control, and configuration-management requirements
