About the Role

You will manage accounts payable, payroll administration, general-ledger reconciliations, and close activities. You will prepare journal entries and financial reports, process invoices and payments, manage vendor records and 1099 reporting, run biweekly payroll, validate payroll inputs, and resolve accounting and payroll discrepancies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of accounting experience in accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
• Payroll experience
• Experience with a large ERP system such as NetSuite
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and record journal entries with supporting documentation
• Reconcile balance-sheet accounts
• Investigate and resolve accounting variances and discrepancies
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and management reports
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Manage weekly payment runs and vendor records
• Manage annual 1099 tax reporting
• Process biweekly payroll using ADP
• Validate timesheets, wages, overtime, deductions, and payroll changes
• Process payroll taxes, garnishments, deductions, and adjustments
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
