About the Role
You will support the systems engineering lifecycle for lunar landers and space systems. You will manage mission requirements, technical budgets, interfaces, verification planning, risk mitigation, and technical documentation. You will guide subsystem engineers, work with partners and customers, support proposals, and resolve technical challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or a related field
- At least three years of relevant space mission experience
- Experience in systems engineering, space system disciplines, mission management, risk management, or system configuration management
- Understanding of space and launch vehicle mission environments
- Must be a U.S. Person under applicable export regulations
Responsibilities
- Develop lunar landers and space-based systems
- Manage concepts of operations, mission and system requirements, configurations, technical budgets, and launch vehicle requirements
- Manage fault management, interface control, verification and validation planning, and technical risks
- Provide technical guidance to systems and subsystem engineering teams
- Work with systems engineers, mission leadership, partners, and customers
- Develop interface definition documents, interface control documents, integration plans, and operations plans
- Serve as a point of contact for partner and payload engineers
- Support technical proposals for business and mission opportunities
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
- Lead technical presentations and demonstrations
- Resolve technical risks and challenges across engineering disciplines, partners, and customers
